Important Notes About 2-Series Charging
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The charger does not implement cell balancing it does not monitor the voltage of the individual cells, you should use protected cells so that if either cell charges up before the other it won't be over charged. When putting cells in series they should always be at the same state of charge (ie, fully charged) when you initially connect them, and should be of the same capacity (as close as possible), it's no good putting a 500mAh cell in series with a 1500mAh cell, that won't work well at all!
I recommend the input voltage for 2S charging should be at least 9v, this is a step-down charger so the input voltage must always be higher than the fully charged output voltage (8.4v in the case of 2S).
DIY Charge Current Mod
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The charger is configured for 2A charge current, to reduce this you could replace the two parallel 0.1 Ohm resistors indicated in the picture. Use two parallel 0.2 Ohm ones for 1A, two parallel 0.4 Ohm ones for 500mA.
